The whole process

Assess

1.  Email the documents requested to info@liberatingestates.co.uk (an original transfer from the builder to the first owner, a copy of a title deeds register for a property and a service charge statement)

2.  We send you the report and next steps if we can help liberate your estate.

Control

3.  You provide the contact details of at least two residents who will work with us to take control. In larger estates having a few more will be easier.

4.  We work through the stages of the process for you to take control. We’ll pay any fees required during this process.

Run

5.  As soon as residents are in control you terminate your contract with your existing property manager and sign the contract with Liberating Estates.

6.  Liberating Estates will work with your previous property manager to handover. This process is often difficult and time consuming for Liberating Estates, and can take many months to get accurate information from the previous property manager.

7.  Once we have completed the handover we will have a site meeting to agree how residents want to run the estate and action those.

8.  We will run the estate for residents.

9.  We will provide a written report on the potential strategy for adoption of the estate and then agree with the residents next steps.

Close / Adopt

10.  We will work with residents to close down the estate management if residents and a local council can agree.
